BNSF On-Site Community Response Training

Gain an understanding of the hazmat regulations that apply to land transportation, particularly to the railroad industry.

FORMAT

This no-cost railroad hazardous materials familiarization course is four hours long and is taught in two modules:

  • A classroom workshop. This interactive presentation, with discussion and Q&A, includes a course syllabus that we urge you to keep for future reference.
  • A hands-on workshop. Conducted using railroad-specific training trailers or a BNSF training tank car, this part of the course focuses on valves and fittings on pressure- and general service- tank cars. Participants will also learn how to respond to equipment leaks.

BNSF community training is provided for your convenience and will be conducted at the facility of your choice.
